Spring Break 2011

Camp Grace, Camp Freedom and Camp Spirit spend spring break in Virginia.

We are officially in the final week of the UrbanPromise Year Internship.  The year has been one of incredible growth: both spiritually and intellectually.  I hope that I can take what I learned from here and apply it to my personal and social life.

I'm staying at Urban for the summer which is super exciting! I can't wait for the hot weather and the excitement of camp, bible buddies, swimming and All Camp Day. It should be exhausting but a lot of fun. Then on August 11th I fly back to England to see what God has in store for me there.

1. Teaching Grade 3 at Camden Forward School. This was out of my comfort zone, doing something that I wasn't qualified to do but putting myself in a classroom full of grade three children taught me patience, love and so many teaching techniques!

I have no idea where the time went, but the end is here. I can't say thank you enough to everyone who has supported me throughout this internship. You have provided me with lessons after lessons and I have grown tremendously. Most of all, you have given me an opportunity to love the people of Camden, NJ.

The past year has been one that I will never forget. Being at Urban Promise has blessed my life in too many ways to count and it is sad that the school year has come to an end. I am glad though that I did not have to say goodbye to the kids that I have met this year and grown to love, I only had to say see you soon because I will be back for this summer.
